The Journey of the BBP Team: Boosting Networking under the Slogan "Break Boundaries, Build Bridges, and Share Knowledge"

On 8 October 2024, Breaking Boundaries visited the British International University following a previous meeting between Wirya Mukyani, the founder of the Breaking Boundaries Platform, and April Keith, an academic coordinator at BIU, who expressed interest in BBP after last year’s event in Sulaymaniyah. During the visit, the team met with Keith to discuss the upcoming conference to be held in Kirkuk.

After visiting BIU with optimism and authenticity, the Breaking Boundaries Platform (BBP) team proceeded to their second visit to Radio Al Salam 94.3 FM, a French radio station. The team received a warm welcome, and they discussed essential aspects of the upcoming conference in Kirkuk, with the radio station expressing interest in getting involved.

On the same date, the BBP team made their third visit to the Mustard Seed Foundation, where they discussed the conference theme. Three international speakers from the USA, who will be involved in the conference, also participated in the discussions. They expressed interest in exploring Kirkuk’s historical sites during their visit. The BBP team left this final visit feeling positive, with everyone excited about the upcoming conference in Kirkuk.

Preparation for the upcoming conference on 7th December

Some members in Kirkuk are meeting with the Life Academy Courses organisation to discuss the upcoming conference, as Life Academy has agreed to partner with BBP and collaborate on the event.

The Impact of BBP’s Recent Conference Held in Kirkuk on 7th December 2024

Our recent conference, hosted by the Breaking Boundaries Platform on 7 December at Al-Kitab University in Kirkuk, was a great success. It made a significant impact on our community by sharing knowledge about the role of leadership in achieving sustainable development in Iraq. This was achieved by bringing international speakers to Kirkuk for the first time, alongside talented and qualified individuals from Iraq.

The conference also had a broader impact in other areas. For instance, Life Academy Courses, one of our BBP collaborators, engaged with us to learn about BBP’s experience and sought our suggestions for female speakers for their upcoming conference in Kirkuk on 26 January. This represents a significant achievement for BBP, as it has encouraged other organisations to promote the inclusion of women and gender equality in their initiatives.

BBP Team Visited BIU on 6 February 2025 to Strengthen Collaboration and Recognize Key Contributors

On 6 February 2025, the BBP team visited BIU, where they received a warm welcome. The founder of BBP, Wirya Mukryani, presented certificates of appreciation to lecturers and speakers, including April Keith, an academic coordinator, and Dr. Ejaz Khan, a seasoned healthcare professional and academician at BIU. Both were actively involved in the recent BBP conference held at Al-Kitab University, Kirkuk, Iraq, under the theme:

“The Role of Leadership in Iraq in Achieving Sustainable Development in Health, Education, and Women’s Empowerment.”

During the visit, Mr. Wirya also discussed future collaboration with Dr. Khan, exploring opportunities to organize more events and strengthen partnerships between BBP and BIU.
